About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol communications Security Officer at a retail location in Boston, Massachusetts, you will help safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service. You will communicate professionally with shoppers, employees, and visitors and use computer or tablet technology as needed. The position is scheduled Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.75 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and constructively to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, communicating observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activity within the location; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site-specific policies.
