About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The officer conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provides customer service and clear communication. The role supports a welcoming environment and responds to security needs professionally and with integrity. The listed pay rate is $12.00 per hour. The schedule lists Tuesday and Wednesday, 11:59 PM–8:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with credential verification, and direct guests to appropriate areas.
Prepare accurate reports and maintain logs of patrols, incidents, observations, and policy violations.
