About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Office Building Patrol in Columbus, Ohio, you will safeguard a financial institution and help provide a secure environment for employees, clients, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, provide customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. The position is full-time, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at $24.72 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations; a license may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if the position involves driving.

CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following escalation and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, entry points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Monitor access by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor records, and reporting unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.
Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership or emergency responders as needed.
