About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to provide patrol and communications support at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Whitsett, North Carolina. The officer will safeguard the site by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, and providing customer service. The role uses communication and computer skills to support daily operations and calls for integrity and teamwork. The position pays $16.89 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 12:00 AM–8:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation, as permitted by applicable law.
Undergo a drug screen, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, if required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and guests while following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Respond professionally and calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, lobbies, parking facilities, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
Monitor access points, visitor activity, and security-related systems according to site procedures, helping maintain orderly entry and exit processes.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol findings, and other security-related activities.
Communicate professionally with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
