About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol security officer for a retail location in High Point, North Carolina. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to shoppers and staff. The role involves clear communication, responding to security-related concerns, and using computer or tablet tools as needed. The listed pay rate is $16.00 per hour. The schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations, potentially before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel to help deter theft, loss, and other security concerns.
Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with company and site-specific requirements.
