About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Security Officer at a government arts location in Miami, Florida, you will safeguard clients and help provide a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, provide customer service and clear communication, and work with a team committed to integrity. The position is scheduled for daytime shifts on Thursday from 10:45 AM to 9:15 PM and Friday from 10:45 AM to 6:15 PM. Pay is $15.00 per hour.

Requirements

Speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public museum location.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, public areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe visitor activity to help protect artwork, exhibits, facilities, and property in accordance with site policies.
Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
