Security Officer Part Time College Campus Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location in Brooklyn, New York. The officer will safeguard students, staff, visitors, and clients by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting a welcoming environment. The role calls for customer service, clear communication, timely reporting, integrity, and teamwork. The position pays $21.35 per hour. The stated schedule is Tuesday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, Friday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and Sunday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and contractors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, communicating relevant information to appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout educational facilities, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and activity in assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
- Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with company and site requirements.
