Security Officer Full Time College Campus Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to patrol a college campus in Brooklyn, New York. The officer will safeguard students, faculty, staff, visitors, and vendors by monitoring assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and helping deter security-related incidents. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while supporting a welcoming campus environment. The position pays $21.35 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, Tuesday 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, Wednesday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, Thursday 12:00 AM–8:00 AM, and Friday 12:00 AM–8:00 AM. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Security licensing requirements are subject to applicable state and local laws.
Requirements
- Valid New York State Security Guard License.
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in accordance with site procedures.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance with campus inquiries, and report unauthorized access concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and communicate observations to supervisors and site contacts.
