About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to patrol a college campus in Brooklyn, New York. The officer will help safeguard students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus property by maintaining a visible presence, conducting routine patrols, monitoring access points, and responding professionally to incidents. The role involves customer service, communication, reporting, and following site-specific procedures in an educational environment.

Requirements

Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events, following established reporting and notification procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access points and assigned areas, reporting unauthorized access, suspicious activity, property concerns, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and required logs.
