About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Retail Security Officer for a shopping mall in Lynchburg, Virginia. The role involves safeguarding clients and providing customer service while following safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. The officer responds calmly to incidents and critical situations and conducts regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter. The job offers an hourly pay rate of $17.50 and daily or weekly pay options.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security experience.
• A clean driving record.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Successful completion of a background investigation, subject to applicable law.
• Successful completion of a drug screen, to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
• Licensing may be required before employment, depending on state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
