Security Officer Full Time for Mall
About The Position
As a full-time unarmed patrol security officer at a commercial real estate location in Los Angeles, California, you will help safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and providing customer service to tenants and visitors. You will support a welcoming environment through clear communication, routine reporting, and teamwork. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The pay rate is $20.60 per hour. Applicants must meet the stated age and education requirements and may be subject to background investigation and drug screening. State or local licensing requirements may apply.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by following site-specific security procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, access points, common areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to assigned areas, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report access-control concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports about patrols, incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security-related observations.
