About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Shopping Mall Driver in Escondido, California. The role provides a consistent assigned-site shift, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The designated weekly shift requires a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may be worked across multiple sites, allowing hours to vary up to 40 per week, with the option to scale back.

The position pays $18.54 per hour and has a scheduled shift on Saturday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The officer provides customer service and security at a retail property, conducts unarmed patrols, monitors and reports activity, and assists with access control and incident documentation.

Requirements

• At least six months of experience in a security-related role.
• A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and/or local law and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Nice To Haves

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations, and report observations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and visitor inquiries, and document incidents and daily activities.
