About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Security Supervisor for a shopping mall in Palo Alto, California. The supervisor oversees the security team during an assigned shift, helps ensure client security requirements are met, and supports the safety and protection of people and property. The role involves customer service, access control, patrols, responding to incidents and alarms, checking security equipment, documenting actions, and coordinating with law enforcement when necessary. The position requires moving around and standing or walking throughout the shift. The schedule is full-time, Saturday through Wednesday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at $26.25 per hour. Requirements

Hold a state security license and complete the additional 32-hour BSIS security trainings; additional trainings may be obtained during the hiring process.
Be authorized to work in the United States.
Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
Have at least two years of security supervisor experience.
Have an active driver's license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be able to stand and walk for the entire shift.
Include an up-to-date security supervisor resume.

Nice To Haves

First aid certification is an asset.
Security, military, or law enforcement experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Supervise the security team during the assigned shift.
Train new security officers.
Help manage schedules to prevent unstaffed posts during the shift.
Serve as a liaison between staff and management and ensure client security requirements are met.
Welcome visitors, verify their identities, and provide directions or guidance.
Manage access control and control entry to secure areas.
Patrol sensitive areas and watch for suspicious activity.
React quickly to threats or incidents.
Check that alarms and cameras are functioning properly.
Document incidents and actions taken.
Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
