About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Asset Protection in Elwood, Illinois, to serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, helps deter incidents, supports a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and operations personnel, conducts routine checks, reports security concerns, and provides customer service and clear communication. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The pay rate is $18.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout logistics and distribution facilities, including warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site-specific procedures.
Document observations, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
