About The Position

The Security Officer Unarmed serves and safeguards clients at a logistics and distribution location in Pooler, Georgia. In the screener role, the officer uses screening procedures to help identify prohibited items and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. The position requires a professional presence, clear communication, customer-focused service, and documentation of security-related activity. This is a part-time position scheduled Monday, Friday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, paying $16.87 per hour.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Guard Card or license.
X-ray screening experience.
Customer service experience.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Screen employees, visitors, drivers, and authorized items entering designated areas according to site requirements and established procedures.
Monitor access points and verify credentials, delivery documentation, and authorization before allowing entry to restricted operational areas.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, using problem-solving skills and escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the distribution location and perimeter.
