About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol security officer at a healthcare location in Indianapolis, Indiana, you will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and facilities. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication in a team-focused environment. The schedule is Friday through Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations, following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as requested, and report unusual conditions or incidents to appropriate personnel.
Prepare accurate reports and communicate with healthcare staff, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership about incidents and daily activities.
