About The Position

As a part-time Patrol Unarmed Security Officer at a utility location in Jacksonville, Florida, you will serve and safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and supporting access control activities. You will provide customer service and clear communication while helping maintain reliable operations. The role involves scheduled morning shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM.

Requirements

At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a utility location.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, service calls, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance-related concerns to appropriate site personnel.
