About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Officer to support an aerospace and defense location in Huntsville, Alabama. The officer will help safeguard employees, visitors, contractors, facilities, and grounds through patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and customer service. The role offers a flexible schedule through the Claim a Shift platform. The pay rate is $20.60 per hour, with scheduled shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Requirements

An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity or conditions requiring attention.
Monitor access points and verify visitor, employee, and contractor credentials according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
Document patrol observations, incidents, and other security-related activities in clear and accurate reports.
