About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an aerospace and defense location in Huntsville, Alabama. The position provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Hours may vary based on claimed shifts, with opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

The assigned schedule is Sunday from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The pay rate is $18.93 per hour. Duties include customer service, carrying out site security procedures, responding to incidents and alarms, conducting unarmed patrols, monitoring access, and completing required reports and logs.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations while following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, employee, and contractor access procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation.
• Promptly communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
