About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for an assigned luxury retail location in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The position provides a designated weekly shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to pick up additional shifts through a scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to scale back. The pay rate is $20.66 per hour. The listed shift is Thursday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for an unarmed role.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, if required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, associates, and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of sales areas, entrances, stock areas, and the surrounding perimeter of the luxury retail location.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy concerns, and potential loss-prevention issues, and help deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior through a professional presence.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, document observations, and communicate with site leadership or emergency responders as needed.
