About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Credential Validation in Barrington, New Jersey, at a logistics and distribution location. The role provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. In addition to the fixed shift, officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed.

The position involves providing customer service while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, responding to incidents and critical situations, conducting unarmed patrols, monitoring access and movement at the site, and documenting and reporting security-related activity. The stated pay rate is $17.92 per hour. The posted schedule is Sunday, 1:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience.

• X-ray screening experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, vehicle lots, building perimeters, and other assigned areas.
• Monitor access points and observe personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and promptly report security concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
