About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer supporting a financial institution in New York, NY, you will help safeguard the client by monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, and providing professional customer service to employees and visitors. You will use clear communication and sound judgment while supporting security-related operations and following site-specific requirements.

The role involves carrying out security procedures and policies, responding calmly to incidents and critical situations, coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders when needed, and promptly documenting observations and activities. The posted schedule is Monday 4:00 PM–8:00 PM, Wednesday 5:00 PM–12:00 AM, Friday 4:00 AM–8:00 AM, and Sunday 12:00 AM–8:00 AM. Pay is $19.59 per hour.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, employee, and contractor entry procedures according to site requirements.
• Accurately and promptly document incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with company and site procedures.
