About The Position

As a Security Officer at a corporate bank headquarters in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in the financial-institution industry. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, manage access control activities, and provide welcoming customer service to employees and visitors. Your work will help deter security-related incidents and support a professional environment. This is a full-time position paying $21.52 per hour, with scheduled shifts Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Experience with access control and badges.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or clients at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor activity according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, surrounding property, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for incidents, observations, access activity, and shift operations.
