About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol for an assigned financial institution site in Porterville, California. The role has a designated weekly anchor shift that requires a six-month commitment. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to vary hours and build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The listed pay rate is $20.00 per hour. The posted schedule is Monday, 8:45 AM–5:15 PM.

The officer provides customer service and performs security procedures, site-specific duties, and emergency response activities. Work includes unarmed patrols, monitoring access and activity, responding to incidents and alarms, and documenting observations and events.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of financial institution facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity in accordance with site policies; report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, and security-related observations.
