About The Position

As a full-time Access Control Operations Security Officer at a residential location in Chester, Virginia, you will help maintain a welcoming and secure environment. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, respond to security-related concerns, and provide customer service and clear communication while using access-control technology. The position serves and safeguards clients in residential and other industries.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for residents, visitors, deliveries, and service personnel entering the residential location.
Maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records according to site-specific procedures, and report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter, as assigned.
