About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer Roving Patrol in Richmond, Virginia, supporting a government location. The officer will help safeguard the site by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, responding professionally to security concerns, and providing customer service and clear communication. The role is scheduled Monday and Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Wednesday and Thursday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

• An Armed Guard Card or License is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond professionally and calmly to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or public authorities as required.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry and exit in accordance with site procedures, maintaining awareness of visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required records related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security activities.
