About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer for a driving patrol position at a commercial real estate location in Culpeper, Virginia. The officer will support crisis intervention and healthcare-related operations while maintaining a visible security presence, responding to concerns, and providing professional, customer-focused service to staff and visitors.

The role involves armed patrols of the facility and surrounding property, monitoring access, responding to incidents and behavioral health crises, and documenting patrol activity and security-related events. The position is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday nights from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM and Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Pay is $25.00 per hour.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• At least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located; required for driving positions.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Handcuffing certification.
• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, residents, and staff by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, behavioral health crises, disturbances, and other critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas while maintaining a respectful, trauma-informed presence.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain documentation for incidents, patrol activities, unusual conditions, and policy violations.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
