About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for an unarmed patrol assignment at a financial services location in Richmond, Virginia. The role provides a designated weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that fixed shift. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with opportunities to increase hours up to 40 per week and build toward full-time work.

The listed schedule is Sunday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.17 per hour. The position involves providing customer service while carrying out security procedures, monitoring the facility, responding to incidents, and documenting relevant activity.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of entrances, common areas, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Accurately document patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
