About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer to support an aerospace and defense location in Culpeper, Virginia. The officer will drive patrol routes, monitor assigned areas, conduct routine inspections, deter incidents through a visible security presence, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. The role requires an active DoD Secret Clearance and emphasizes customer service, clear communication, integrity, and teamwork.

The position pays $28.59 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. The role also requires participation in industry-specific security training.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and verify authorization for entry, visitors, deliveries, and vehicles in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain required armed-post qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and site procedures.
• Drive patrol routes and monitor assigned areas.
