Security Officer Part Time Lobby Overnight
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an overnight lobby/front desk role at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Gardena, California. The officer serves as a welcoming and professional presence for visitors and employees, manages access, monitors entry activity, communicates clearly, and helps address security-related concerns while delivering customer service. The position pays $21.32 per hour and is scheduled Monday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- Have a valid driver's license only if applying for a driving position.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at the front desk by carrying out site-specific security procedures and access protocols.
- Monitor visitor entry, verify credentials as required, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate visitor logs in accordance with site policies.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, follow emergency response procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
- Answer phones, provide directions and general site information, and route inquiries to appropriate contacts while maintaining a professional front-desk presence.
- Observe and report unusual activity, access concerns, and security-related incidents to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
