About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a retail location in Burlington, New Jersey. The officer serves as a front-desk security professional, welcoming visitors, managing access control and badges, monitoring entry activity, and supporting X-ray screening procedures as needed. The role provides customer service to visitors, members, vendors, and employees while helping maintain a secure, professional environment. It pays $18.00 per hour and is scheduled Fridays and Saturdays from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment depending on state and local requirements.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Carry out site-specific procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a retail wholesale location while providing exceptional customer service.
Greet visitors, manage access according to site procedures, and direct individuals to appropriate areas.
Monitor entry activity, maintain required visitor records, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership or Allied Universal supervision.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established site protocols.
Answer phones, receive deliveries, and provide general information in a courteous and professional manner.
Support X-ray screening procedures as needed.
