Security Officer - Logistics
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol security officer for a logistics and distribution location in Minooka, Illinois. The officer will maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, conduct routine patrols, observe and report unusual activity, support access procedures, and provide customer service and clear communication. The role includes responding to incidents and critical situations, monitoring delivery and shipping activity, and documenting security-related observations and events. The schedule is listed as 11:00 PM–7:00 AM on Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The pay rate is $17.50 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on applicable background investigation and drug screening requirements. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Complete a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Complete a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Carry out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities while providing customer service to clients.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter.
- Monitor access points and observe delivery and shipping activity.
- Report unusual conditions and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting incidents, patrol observations, and other security-related activities.
