About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer in Lockport, Illinois, you will safeguard a technology, media, and telecommunications location by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and providing customer service to employees and visitors. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. The role follows site-specific procedures and access-control protocols, responds to incidents and alarms, conducts patrols, and documents activities and concerns. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet state and/or local licensing requirements that may apply before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control protocols.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor records in accordance with site policies.
• Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Clearly and promptly document incidents, access-control concerns, and daily activities using required reporting systems.
