About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a financial institution in Groton, Connecticut. The officer will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients. The role requires clear communication, accurate reporting, and support for a welcoming environment.

The position is scheduled Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM, at a rate of $19.92 per hour. The role offers access to a shift-claiming platform, paid training, career growth opportunities, a retirement savings plan, and discounts through the Perks Program.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet state or local licensing requirements if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow established site procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee activity, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership or appropriate responders.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with company and site requirements.
