About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to provide access-point oversight at a logistics and distribution location in Lewisberry, Pennsylvania. The officer will help safeguard employees, visitors, drivers, delivery personnel, and operations by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access, maintaining a professional presence, and supporting a secure environment. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, teamwork, and the company’s values of being agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven. The position pays $18.43 per hour. The scheduled hours are Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency-response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location; verify credentials, authorize access according to site procedures, and maintain visitor and vehicle access records.
Screen visitors, contractors, and vendors; direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas and communicate access concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
