About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for access oversight at an assigned logistics and distribution site in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The role provides a fixed weekly schedule of Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., with a six-month commitment to the designated site and shifts. Employees may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust hours as desired. The pay rate is $16.33 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and carries out site-specific access-control procedures, monitors entry and exit points, documents activity, responds to incidents, and conducts patrols. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and drug screen, as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors while following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and applicable emergency-response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify authorized access, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations; escalate issues to appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and records concerning access activity, incidents, and security-related observations.
