About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Access Point Security for an assigned logistics and distribution site in Remington, Indiana. The position has a designated weekly anchor shift and requires a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may be claimed through the scheduling platform, with the option to increase hours up to 40 per week or scale back. The posted pay rate is $15.70 per hour. The listed schedule is Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require candidates to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, maintain visitor and contractor records, and direct authorized individuals according to site procedures.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, support truck entry and exit processes, and report irregularities involving gates, docks, trailers, or restricted areas.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, communicate observations promptly to appropriate personnel, and follow established response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
