Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Operations
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location in Montgomery, Alabama. The officer will safeguard the site by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and reporting security-related concerns. The role also involves providing professional customer service and clear communication to help maintain a welcoming environment. The scheduled hours are Monday and Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. Pay is $16.30 per hour. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements if required for employment.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and document security observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns.
- Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, visitors, and emergency personnel to support orderly operations.
