About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Patrol Unarmed Security Officer for a residential care location in the Bronx, New York. The officer will help safeguard residents, visitors, and staff by providing customer service, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, and responding professionally to security concerns. The position is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM and pays $18.58 per hour. The role is part of a flexible scheduling program that allows officers to view and claim additional shifts through the company's platform.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and vendors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, entrances, common spaces, and perimeter areas.
Identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed, and maintain required logs and incident documentation.
Respond calmly and respectfully to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations, contacting appropriate site personnel or emergency responders when needed.
Communicate professionally with people from diverse backgrounds and follow procedures related to resident privacy and dignity.
