About The Position

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a residential location in New York, NY, you will help safeguard residents, visitors, staff, and property. You will monitor access points and visitor activity, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible security presence, and help deter unauthorized activity. The role also involves providing customer service, communicating professionally, and responding to incidents and emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner. This is a part-time position scheduled Monday and Saturday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.25 per hour. Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to residential incidents, access concerns, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and document incidents according to site-specific procedures.
Communicate professionally with residents, visitors, property personnel, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security concerns and required follow-up.
