About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a residential building in the New Dorp Beach section of Staten Island. The position provides a fixed weekly “anchor shift” at an assigned site, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Employees may work part-time or build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The listed schedule is Saturday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

The officer provides customer service while following security procedures and site policies, responds calmly to incidents, and conducts regular and random patrols. Site working environments and conditions may vary.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Commit to the designated site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
