About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial warehouse location in Gardner, Kansas. The officer will help safeguard employees and visitors by monitoring access points, verifying credentials, carrying out site-specific security procedures, and supporting emergency response activities. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, teamwork, and integrity.

The position pays $19.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 AM–10:00 AM. Employees can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. The employer provides paid training and access to career growth opportunities.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency-response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor badges, and maintain access-control records.
• Respond calmly to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations, and promptly communicate observations to site contacts or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, production areas, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
• Accurately document daily activities, access-control events, incidents, and observations using required logs, reports, or electronic systems.
