About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer to support a financial institution location in New York, NY. The role involves monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, providing professional customer service, and supporting badge and access-control processes. The posted pay rate is $17.00 per hour. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

A guard card or license is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and assist with visitor management according to site requirements.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions or security concerns.
Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
