About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Officer to support an aerospace and defense location in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, performing access control activities, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver's license and an active DoD Secret clearance. Officers provide customer service and communication while working as part of a team.

The position is full time and pays $23.86 per hour. The listed schedule is 7:00 AM–3:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Applicants must meet applicable pre-employment screening requirements, including a background investigation and drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Requirements

• Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Have a valid driver's license that complies with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with alarm panel systems is beneficial.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense-related location, following site-specific procedures and security protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Support emergency response activities and maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident documentation, and other required records.
