About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to patrol an aerospace and defense location in Rochester, New York. The role involves safeguarding clients and personnel through visible patrols, access control, incident response, and customer service. Officers use technology to document activity and follow site-specific procedures and policies. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and pays $22.00 per hour.

Requirements

An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

A Guard Card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access to controlled areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as required.
Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs according to site-specific requirements.
