About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer to support an aerospace and defense location in Arlington, Virginia. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, respond to security concerns, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. The role also involves providing customer service and clear communication while supporting site operations. The position pays $26.27 per hour and is scheduled Fridays and Saturdays from 2:45 p.m. to 10:45 p.m.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

A state-, county-, or city-issued security license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to controlled areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities in accordance with company and site requirements.
