About The Position

As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Chantilly, Virginia, you will safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide customer service and clear communication while working collaboratively with site personnel. The role is part-time, with scheduled shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The pay rate is $26.92 per hour.

Requirements

• Possess three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of business spaces, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as assigned, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as directed.
• Help deter unauthorized activity through a professional presence, observation, timely reporting, and adherence to company and site-specific protocols.
