About The Position
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location in San Jose, California, you will serve and safeguard clients by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitoring assigned areas, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide customer service and clear communication while supporting a team-focused culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity. The position is full-time, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $24.79 per hour.
Requirements
- Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, production areas, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and security concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, access-related observations, and other security events.
