About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Officer with an active Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance for its Miramar location. The role is entrusted with sensitive information and is responsible for protecting classified information and personnel. The officer will receive specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with their clearance level. The position pays $26 per hour, requires an active California guard card and open availability, and offers weekly and daily pay options.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
Active Department of Defense security clearance at a position-appropriate level.
Active California guard card.
At least one of the following: three years of security experience on a DoD-cleared site or prior military experience.
Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Intermediate computer skills to operate client-specific wireless technology.
Open availability.

Nice To Haves

Prior law enforcement or armed security experience.
Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Provide professional security services that safeguard personnel, property, and information.
Patrol within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or by vehicle to protect people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points.
Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders.
Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances to the client and/or other security personnel through written and oral communication.
Respond to and assess security or emergency alarms.
Act as a first responder in emergency situations.
