About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Cleared Security Officer to protect personnel, property, and classified information at a secure site. The role requires an active Department of Defense Secret clearance and includes specialized training in site-specific security protocols. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Pay is $27.05 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Department of Defense position-appropriate security clearance; the posting specifies an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Must have at least one of the following: a minimum of three years of security experience on a DoD-cleared site or prior military experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate client-specific wireless technology.
• At least 21 years of age.
• State or local licensing may be required prior to employment, depending on applicable laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience.
• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional security services to safeguard personnel, property, and information.
• Conduct foot, bicycle, or vehicle patrols within and around the facility to protect people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
• Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances orally and in writing to the client and/or other security personnel.
• Respond to and assess security or emergency alarms.
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations.
